STILL HAVE QUESTIONS? WE'VE GOT ANSWERS
Who do you serve?
R.E.A.L. Therapy currently serves adolescents and adults who reside in New Jersey, via telehealth. This allows our clients to engage in therapy from the comfort of their own home, or other safe and private space.
I’ve never had therapy. What’s the first session like?
During the first session, we will thoroughly assess your symptoms and discuss the factors that led you to therapy. It may seem a bit scary to invite someone you don’t know into your world, but rest assured that we provide empathic, confidential and nonjudgmental care. Our assessment allows us the opportunity to get a history of your presenting problems and assist you in identifying your goals for treatment. We promise that it won’t feel like a test or an interrogation, just a conversation with a caring person that's ready to help you find your inner peace!
What approach do you use?
We utilize a variety of techniques to encourage and support you as you move toward your goals. We have concentrated training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness based approaches, and Trauma-Informed Care. We operate from a humanistic viewpoint, believing that all people are driven toward self-actualization. Our practice is focused on providing clients with the skills necessary to manage and remove all blockages that obstruct your intrinsic nature to be great.
Do you accept insurance?
R.E.A.L. Therapy can now accept Aetna, Horizon BCBS, United Healthcare, Oscar Health and Oxford insurances through Headway. If you have another insurance carrier, we are able to provide invoices (superbill) for services that you may be able to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider, directly, for further explanation of coverage.
What are your accepted forms of payment?
We accept bank debit/credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover)
How long do I have to do therapy?
There are no cookie cutter time limitations, as everyone is different in their responses to services. At R.E.A.L. Therapy, treatment is always voluntary. Although we encourage you to see it through until all of your therapy goals are met, you are able to request a discharge at any time.
